The mission of Femicide in Poland Project is to fill the gender data gap in Poland (the so called femicide gender data gap ) and to show the urgent need for legal changes in the field of violence against women prevention. The project also aims to create social awareness about the scale of femicides and build sensitivity to call these crimes by their names – femicides. Using good practices from other countries, we lobby for the typification of the crime of femicide – murder on the basis of gender – in the form of a legal national acts or binding international law.<\/p>\n
