The document was developed on the basis of analyses of high-risk violence against women cases, international research, and the experiences of other European countries.<\/p>\n<h3>In our recommendations, we highlight, among others, the need for:<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>creating a central and coherent database on violence against women and femicide cases (femicide central database),<\/li>\n<li>implementing solutions in Poland inspired by the Spanish VioG\u00e9n system for monitoring high-risk cases,<\/li>\n<li>developing unified risk assessment tools for escalating violence (high-risk cases),<\/li>\n<li>establishing a permanent interdisciplinary team analyzing femicide cases and attempted femicides,<\/li>\n<li>improving cooperation between the police, prosecutors, courts, healthcare institutions, and social services,<\/li>\n<li>introducing mandatory examination of gender-based motives in killings of women,<\/li>\n<li>implementing systemic training programs for representatives of the justice system and public services,<\/li>\n<li>developing media standards for reporting on violence against women,<\/li>\n<li>implementing a victim-centred approach focused on the safety and dignity of victims, rooted in feminist victimology,<\/li>\n<li>taking into account the perspective of children witnessing violence,<\/li>\n<li>conducting educational and social awareness campaigns on violence against women,<\/li>\n<li>recognizing the intersectional nature of violence against women,<\/li>\n<li>developing a National Strategy for Preventing Violence Against Women for 2026\u20132030.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our recommendations emphasize that effectively preventing violence against women requires not only responding after tragedy occurs, but above all systematically identifying risk factors, improving institutional coordination, and building a culture of responsibility, knowledge, and social sensitivity.<a href=\"https:\/\/femicideinpoland.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/recommendations-on-fatal-VAWG-prevention-in-PL.pdf\">recommendations on fatal VAWG prevention in PL<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What do our recommendations include?
